Meet Dr. Ron Banik
Your smile is one feature that makes you unique; so when it comes to the dental care you receive, you want to make sure that your dentist always has your unique interests in mind. Dr. Ron Banik has been practicing dentistry in Charleston since 1999, and in that time has built a reputation for being an outstanding dentist who genuinely cares about his patients' well-being.
Dr Banik earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from the College of Charleston, and Doctor of Dental Medicine from the Medical University of SC. He went on to complete an advanced General Practice Residency from Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia, SC. During this time Dr. Banik gained further valuable experience in cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, hospital patient care, trauma, and comprehensive restorative dentistry.
Dr. Banik attends numerous advanced courses in the latest procedures each year and is a member of several dental and community organizations. He was awarded the Fellowship in the Academy of general Dentistry in recognition of his continuing pursuit of dental education. Additionally Dr. Banik is an attending dentist at Smiles of a Lifetime dental clinics providing care to children of South Carolina.
Dr. Banik loves living in South Carolina and being a part of the Charleston community. Originally from London, England, he moved to Charleston with his family in 1976. In any spare time, he enjoys being with his family and his wife Sumita, who is a pediatrician at Sweetgrass Pediatrics. He also enjoys traveling, sports, and other outdoors activities as staying active and fit are an important part of his lifestyle. Dr Banik is an avid tennis player in competitive USTA tennis leagues and tournaments and also holds a black belt in karate.
